Though you have bought a standard health insurance plan which is covering your health related expenses, there are certain requirements that a standard health insurance plan does not cover. Then you need a health insurance add-on cover that is designed to meet the various medical expenses as per your requirement. Health insurance add-ons or riders can be taken over and above your existing health insurance policy to enhance its benefits.
